The Banco de Desarrollo de la República de El Salvador (BANDESAL), together with the Instituto Salvadoreño para el Desarrollo de la Mujer (ISDEMU), made the third delivery of seed capital to women entrepreneurs and businesswomen in the framework of the Interinstitutional Cooperation Agreement between these institutions and financial inclusion of ISDEMU users.

Thanks to this third delivery of Seed Capital 42 women were benefited, who will have the necessary tools to start their businesses and generate income for their households.

During this year, three deliveries of Seed Capital have been made, where 200 women were supported with this initiative, which was carried out thanks to the articulated work between BANDSAL and ISDEMU; benefiting sectors that in previous years had been excluded, such as indigenous women, LGTBI population, post-prisoners, nurseries, Afro-descendant women, women of the Heart and Asociación Corazón y Esperanza de San Vicente and ISDEMU users who have a business model.

Thanks to the support of the Ministry of Culture, BANDESAL's Training and Business Development Center, together with ISDEMU, provided training sessions for the development of processes to strengthen financial education, human rights with a focus on economic autonomy and access to BANDESAL's financial services and products.

The President of BANDESAL, Juan Pablo Durán Escobar, emphasized that the Central Government is supporting sectors that previously had not been attended, he also mentioned that "forgetting about these sectors is a serious mistake, since they play a fundamental role to take off the economy of a country. That is why BANDESAL trusts in their projects and helps them to be successful".

ISDEMU's Executive Director, María Lilian López, acknowledged that investing in the care and economic autonomy of women is a direct contribution to gender equality and their right to a life free of violence, and expressed her gratitude for the commitment to the development of salvadoran women. "We can affirm, this day, that BANDESAL has become a strategic ally of ISDEMU and the women of El Salvador".
