BH provided US$25,000 line of credit for affected merchants of San Miguelito market

Banco Hipotecario de El Salvador (BH), informed that it has enabled a special line of credit to support merchants affected by the fire in San Miguelito market, San Salvador, last wednesday, september 22, 2021.

The BH credit line will allocate US$25,000 to each merchant of the San Miguelito market, regardless of the number of stalls they had, with an annual rate of 8%.

The terms for the line of credit will be up to 5 years for working capital, 7 years for investment capital, payment of debts, and they will also have a one-year grace period after acquiring the credit.

Additionally, as part of the economic assistance complementary to the financing, the BH has designed a non-refundable bonus of US$150 to the people who acquire the support credit, which will be deposited in the bank's account.

The President of the BH, Celina Padilla, indicated that the institution has made available a non-refundable fund, which is part of an item of the Bank that is especially earmarked for corporate social responsibility.
