14.5% of salvadorans will migrate from El Salvador in 2023, with the objective of changing their economic situation.

Surveys show that household inflation expectations are less stable than previously thought according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

As part of this effort, the Banco Central de Reserva  (BCR) conducted a survey to learn in depth about salvadorans living in the United States. The Organización Internacional para las Migraciones (OIM) supported the survey with the objective of facilitating the design of adequate public policies in favor of the sector.

Ricardo Salazar, President of the Defensoría del Consumidor (DC), informed that 24% of the people surveyed in the "Consumer trends of salvadorans for Christmas", expressed that their spending for this Christmas season will be between US$50 and US$100, 19% said between US$100 and US$150, and 18% expressed that more than US$250.

The vegetable market and consumers are more mature. Variables have been corrected and the second generation of products in this category is already wider, with the objective of offering healthier and tastier options with clean labels, factors that are very important and appreciated by consumers.
