Until january 31, goods may be brought into the country tax free
The Dirección General de Aduanas (DGA), informs salvadorans residing abroad or foreign visitors that the tax exoneration of up to US$3 thousand for new goods will be in effect until january 31, 2023, benefiting thousands of salvadorans arriving to the country.

US$11 million in evasion and smuggling cases were presented to the FGR
This morning the minister of Finance, Alejandro Zelaya together with the Director of Customs, Samadhy Martinez arrived at the Fiscalía General de la República (FGR), to present four cases of evasion and smuggling.
