CMI donates more than 9,000 pounds of product to Banco de Alimentos de El Salvador

Fulfilling its purpose "We feed your world to fill it with well-being", Corporación Multi Inversiones (CMI) made an important donation to the Banco de Alimentos de El Salvador, which consisted of 3 thousand 357 bags of food containing about 9 thousand 950 pounds of precooked poultry product prepared by CMI Alimentos.

The support was provided in two deliveries, the first donation made at the beginning of may, consisted of more than 1,680 bags and the second, in the middle of the same month, consisted of 1,677 bags, making a total of 3,357. This aid will be distributed by the Banco de Alimentos de El Salvador that will benefit 20 social organizations that are part of its assistance program that will impact the lives of 20,142 salvadorans in vulnerable situations.

"Inspired by our purpose 'We feed your world to fill it with well-being', at CMI Alimentos we are committed to food security in the countries where we operate and this is materialized in actions of support and community development such as this food donation", commented Fátima Pereira, director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability of CMI Alimentos.

With these efforts, the corporation seeks to bring nutritious food to the communities with the objective of providing good quality protein for salvadorans.

"Banco de Alimentos El Salvador, since its founding in 2013, has worked to minimize hunger and improve the quality of life of Salvadoran families in poverty. This thanks to the support of supportive companies such as CMI efforts are made to ensure access to safe, nutritious and diverse food for vulnerable communities in the country", said Maria Ines Olivares, general director of Banco de Alimentos El Salvador.

This donation joins the one made by CMI Alimentos in Guatemala where it provided, together with Fundación Juan Bautista Gutiérrez, its social arm, around 8 thousand bags that will benefit around 4 thousand 100 families in the department of Totonicapán.

In this way, CMI Alimentos promotes food security in the countries where it operates through programs that promote sustainable development and generate a positive impact on individuals, families and communities.

CMI generates more than 40 thousand direct jobs where it is present, of which almost 8 thousand are in El Salvador. Its main brands in the country include Pollo Campero, Don Pollo, Pollo Indio, Toledo, Pasta Ina, Pasta Fama, Molinos Modernos, Del Comal, Aliansa, Gama, Can Can, among others.
