CABEI disburses US$1 billion for investment in logistics infrastructure in the country

El Salvador will receive US$1 billion from the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) for investment in logistics infrastructure with social and economic impact.

According to information from CABEI President, Dante Mossi, the disbursement of funds by 2023 will be important to comply with points addressed in the country's agenda with the financial organization.

Among these projects, he highlighted the Pacific Train, the Los Chorros viaduct, which will have a significant impact.

Mossi explained that other electric mobility, potable water and sanitation projects are planned to improve the Surf City sector.

The CABEI head, added that the relationship between the multilateral bank and the Central Government has facilitated the understanding for the execution of these projects that benefit salvadorans and the country in general.

The regional financial institution has also worked hand in hand with state institutions in the country, such as the completion of works at the february 3 Hydroelectric Plant, logistics connectivity projects, support to combat Covid-19 and the Fideicomiso para la Recuperación Económica de las Empresas Salvadoreñas (FIREMPRESA).

CABEI has also supported El Salvador with disbursements of more than US$500 million to execute various projects.
