The balance of deposits made as of november 17, 2022, presented an inter-annual increase of US$720.8 million, as a reflection of the security that banking represents for individuals, companies and institutions that deposit their money.
Since october 2019, the banking sector has increased the number of savings accounts with simplified requirements offered to the population, reaching as of october 2022 a total of 191,030 accounts that facilitate savings to salvadorans from their cell phones.
