Flores said that after participating in the forum of the Canadian Council for the Americas, yesterday the first step in the return of operations of Air Transat, an airline based in Montreal, Canada, was taken.
He also expressed that the good business climate in the country allowed Arajet Airlines to start operations last weekend and now the country has the call of interest from Air Transat.
Air Transat is Canada's number one leisure airline. It flies to some 60 international destinations in more than 25 countries in the Americas and Europe, offers domestic and connecting flights within Canada and carries some 5 million passengers each year.
The airline is a business unit of Transat AT Inc, a leading integrated international travel company that specializes in vacation travel and offers vacation packages, hotel stays and air travel.
Transat received Travelife certification in 2018 in recognition of its commitment to sustainable development. Headquartered in Montreal, it has 5,000 employees.
