Year-on-year growth in loans granted to april 2022 was US$1,324.6 million

The Superintendencia del Sistema Financiero (SSF), reports through its Twitter account that banking remains solid, reflecting growth in the amount of loans granted. As of april 29, 2022, an interannual increase of US$1,324.6 million is reported, showing the economic momentum in the country.

So far in 2022, growth has been US$16,334.90 million, or 8.8% more than in 2021, which was US$15,020.34 million.

The strength of the banking sector in the country is reflected in the growth of the amounts of savings accounts, which, as of the 29th of this month, registered an inter-annual growth of 11.7% compared to the same period last year.

In 2022, its year-on-year growth was US$5,870.79 million, which represents 11.7%, or US$612.8 million more than in 2021, when it was US$5,258.01 million.

As of april 2022, the amounts traded in the integrated Stock Exchange between El Salvador and Panama, register an increase compared to the same period of 2021, reaching an increase of 30.19%, demonstrating the interest of investors.

The growth has been US$302.42 million representing a 30.19% US$70.14 million more than in 2021 which reached US$22.28.

Investment funds continue to consolidate as an option to start investing in the stock market, increasing their assets by 59.79% year-on-year, representing a total of US$408.79 million as of that date.
