During a television interview, the minister of Tourism, Morena Valdez, indicated that the lodging capacity of the estimated 3,500 companies in different parts of the country has been surpassed, especially in the Surf City area which is one of the most demanded tourist routes by nationals and foreigners.

The Ministerio de Turismo (MITUR) reported that as of september, international tourism spending amounted US$2.79 billion. In fact, for that same month, the country received 2.4 million international visitors, which represents a 27% growth compared to 2019.
