The final phase event was attended by the minister of Economy, María Luisa Hayem and was accompanied by the Presidential Commissioner for Strategic Projects, Cristian Flores, the Undersecretary Fabrizio Mena, the President of CONAMYPE, Paul Steiner and representatives of sponsoring institutions of the EWC2021.

The Entrepreneurship World Cup is a program that empowers entrepreneurs at different levels, bringing together more than 200 countries globally.

The competition comprises two phases: one national and one international. In the national phase, the winning venture was Cartera Digital, a mobile credit management platform specialized in microfinance, which will represent El Salvador in the international phase of the Entrepreneurship World Cup.

In the national edition of the World Cup 2021, which was launched on April 22, more than 300 participants participated, of which 103 finalized their application: 41 in the Idea category, 45 in the Early category and 17 in the Growth category.

In addition, in this 2021 edition, 17 strategic partners of the country's innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem joined the effort and contributed 10 prizes nationwide valued at more than US$80 thousand.

"We will continue to promote the development of competitive and sustainable entrepreneurship through actions that empower companies and entrepreneurs to innovate, transforming knowledge and talent into new products or services", said the minister of Economy.

These sponsoring companies supported the entrepreneurs participating in this competition, implementing a learning path of entrepreneurship and acceleration to strengthen their ventures, preparing them to have a better chance in the competition at the international level.
