The Banco de Desarrollo de El Salvador (BANDESAL) and the Instituto Salvadoreño para el Desarrollo de la Mujer (ISDEMU) delivered seed capital to women who have a business model and who are part of the LGBTI population, post-penitentiary women, and women from Centro de Protección del ISDEMU.

There are 200 women from different vulnerable sectors who were benefited with the delivery of seed capital so they can carry out their enterprises and with this BANDESAL and ISDEMU will promote the economic autonomy of women with a human rights approach, so they can access the financial products and services that the bank makes available to them.

According to BANDESAL, this delivery will generate a positive impact on society, creating opportunities for development and economic growth for women, strengthening their entrepreneurial skills with business training, financial education and business plans.

"This seed capital is not a loan, it is a donation to start 200 new businesses without the need to get into debt with lenders, brokers or banks", explains the President of BANDESAL, Juan Pablo Durán.

The beneficiaries of the seed capital expressed that this contribution will mean an opportunity for personal growth and for their family circle.

In addition, the delivery of the seed capital will strengthen lines of credit, training programs and business training, so that women entrepreneurs have access to products and services to develop their businesses.
