US$9 million destined for the reactivation of MSEs

Banco Hipotecario (BH) and the Comisión Nacional de la Micro y Pequeña Empresa (CONAMYPE) signed an agreement for the administration of the Fondo de Emprendimiento y Capital de Trabajo (FECAMYPE).

The signing of the trust deed of the FECAMYPE and PROGAMYPE funds is related to the US$9 million dollars that the Central Government has earmarked for the reactivation of MSEs by means of triggering projects. The signing was carried out between the heads of Banco Hipotecario and CONAMYPE.

The signing was attended by the President of Banco Hipotecario, Celina Padilla, together with the President of CONAMYPE, Paul Steiner, with which both leaders will seek financial opportunities for salvadorans.

Banco Hipotecario has been selected by CONAMYPE to set up the trust and take on the role of trustee, including the operation of the trust within the bank's structure.

FECAMYPE was created with the objective of financing new entrepreneurial projects, as well as micro and small Salvadoran enterprises, with an emphasis on initiatives with technological, environmental, women's, and gender equality components.

In addition, the Central Government and CONAMYPE, launched the Virtual Window for Business Procedures, which makes available to entrepreneurs more than 25 virtual services so that they can perform them from anywhere in the country.

The bank counter will allow to bring the services to Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) in an innovative way and to streamline the management processes that MSEs perform in the different public institutions related to business procedures, formalization and defense of their rights.

  • Services for the protection of MSEs: Defensoría del Consumidor and Pronto Pago
  • Advisory Service on Business Procedures: 25 services.
  • Formalization Service: MSE Registration.
