The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Adriana Mira, explained that, thanks to the security that now exists in El Salvador, different international companies are coming to the country to invest in different projects. The official expressed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs provides support to future investors through economic counseling, in the different embassies.

"We inaugurated our counseling offices at the end of 2021. Today, more than 20 embassies provide economic counseling. Last year we closed with more than $43 million generated by our chancellery", detailed the vice-chancellor.

The vice minister indicated that in the first quarter of the year they have placed $1.3 million and that this figure will continue to grow much more, since last week they signed an agreement with the Belgian airline ASL, which is planning to create a direct flight to the country.

"We also have economic counseling services in some consulates in the United States. We present them the agenda and accompany them during their visit to the country so that they know the projects and the places where they can invest, we accompany them", she said.

In addition, she said that, together with the Secretary of Trade and Investment, Miguel Kattán, they met with the aeronautical company Embraer and with this alliance El Salvador will be founding, in the coming days, an aerocluster composed of the private sector, academia and the Government.

Vice Minister Mira stated that the new investments are due to the security climate in the country, thanks to the fact that El Salvador is now recognized worldwide for its security.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador, through the General Directorate of Economic Relations and its embassies and consulates around the world, is responsible for exploring business opportunities, promoting local investment projects and promoting the various tourist destinations in the country.
