MOP inaugurates remodeling of facilities on the border, Las Chinamas, Ahuachapán

The Ministerio de Obras Públicas (MOP), inaugurated today in the afternoon the remodeling of the border facilities in Las Chinamas, Ahuachapán.

In these totally comfortable facilities, with air conditioning, with furniture to rest and a play area, we are receiving more than 5 thousand people daily.

The immigration officers will have a space with better conditions, in the remodeling there is a tunnel area where vehicles can enter (to carry out immigration procedures).

The procedure will become easier, the investment for the renovation is around US$700 thousand, this was announced by the minister of MOP, Romeo Herrera.

Those who enter or leave the country through the Las Chinamas border, can make their migratory registration in modern spaces that we renovated for their comfort.

The Central Government is working to modernize, streamline and implement measures to ensure that immigration control processes are efficient and fast.
