Economic development with energy efficiency is a practice that helps reduce carbon production; it favors productive innovation, business competitiveness and job creation, and contributes to climate change mitigation.
The main objective of this forum is to contribute to the implementation of energy efficiency in the productive processes of salvadoran companies.
"The Economic Cabinet focuses all its work on promoting inclusive and sustainable economic growth that generates more and better opportunities for salvadorans, through the incorporation of energy efficiency in companies", mentioned the Minister of Economy.
"Energy efficiency is a key factor for sustainability, it accompanies any technological innovation process that allows producing more with minimum energy consumption", said Salvador Handal, executive secretary of CNE.
"We must take into account the electricity bill, specifically the energy part not only the amount we have to pay, identify how much is the energy consumption to be able to have that energy dimension", explained, Mario Rodas, director of energy efficiency, during the forum.
