According to the Ministry of Economy (MINEC), starting tomorrow, gasoline prices will increase from october 19 to november 1, 2021 in the three zones of the country.

Salvadorans will be able to go to the gas station that best suits them, to fill the tank of their vehicles before the price increase that fuels will present during the next few days.

For regular and premium gasoline the increase will be between US$0.10 and US$0.11 in the three zones of the country. As for diesel, the increase will be US$0.18 in the central and western zones of the country, for the eastern zone the increase will be up to US$0.17.

Likewise, fuel prices will range from US$4.01 to US$3.49, but MINEC indicates that this value published by the Ministry is suggested and gas stations are the ones to establish it, according to supply and demand.

The external factors that have influenced the price increase are due to the low production of non-traditional oil, affecting international prices and the decrease in supply due to the demand for heating fuels due to the winter.

It is advisable to use your vehicle whenever it is absolutely necessary or for an emergency, so that your pocket is not affected when buying gasoline. In addition, it is recommended to use gasoline in the morning and evening hours so that it can last a little longer and does not evaporate.
