The Embassy of El Salvador in the Dominican Republic participated in the 1st. Executive Commission of the Mesoamerica Project, a meeting in which they reviewed the strategic transformation process of this regional mechanism for this year and the coming years.

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) held a high-level dialogue during the 37th meeting of the governors of the IDB member countries of the Central American Isthmus and the Dominican Republic, which took place on february 5 and 6 in Antigua, Guatemala.

Arajet, the new Dominican low-cost airline, will start selling tickets from US$55 each way and US$149 round trip, including taxes, from El Salvador, connecting Santo Domingo with new tourist and commercial experiences, turning the country into a hub for the Americas.

Although the recovery process in 2021 has been widespread, it has occurred at different speeds in the region, according to the most recent IDB Group Activity Report "On the Road to an Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Recovery".

The Federación de Cámaras y Asociaciones Industriales de Centroamérica y República Dominicana (FECAICA), organized the discussion: How is the transition to electric mobility progressing in Central America and the Dominican Republic? This space was used as an opportunity to learn about the results and perceptions of guests from international organizations on the programs and projects being carried out in the Latin American and Caribbean region, with emphasis on those of interest to the CA-DR region.

The Federación de Cámaras y Asociaciones Industriales de Centroamérica y República Dominicana (FECAICA) organized a virtual discussion entitled “Salud de los consumidores: desafíos de la industria Centroamericana y de República Dominicana”. The event was attended by representatives of the regional industry and the scientific community.
