"At Uber Eats, we work to integrate options that respond to current user trends in order for them to find value in our platform to solve day-to-day needs. We are grateful for the preference of salvadorans and hope to be able to integrate more and more options for their convenience", said Carolina Coto, Uber's General Communications for Central America and the Caribbean.
With 45 diversified businesses in a variety of segments, such as convenience stores, pharmacies, liquor stores, and pet stores, Uber Eats has become the comprehensive solution to meet the needs of Salvadoran users. Today they can find everything from dessert, to pet food, to wine for the party with friends.
According to data compiled by Uber Eats, among the products most requested by salvadorans are pupusas, sodas, beers and breakfast combos.
In addition, alcoholic beverages such as red wine and sangria stand out among users' preferences.
"Not only did we focus on integrating a wide variety of merchants, but we have also diversified with new features to enhance the user experience and support the growth of partner merchants", Coto said.
Among the latest updates is the "Group Order" option, which allows users to place a joint order from the same restaurant and share the bill or not among several users, as well as the "Pick Up" function, which allows ordering from the app and pick up directly at the selected restaurant.
In addition, the app reinforces its commitment to the local economy and supports the growth of partner restaurants and businesses. This is why it announced a reduction in the cost of shipping, now salvadorans will be able to find shipping costs from $1.00 USD.
"Through our technology, we support the growth of the local economy, we offer flexible and independent opportunities for delivery partners to generate additional profits, and a convenient and easy experience for users, restaurant partners and businesses", concluded Coto.
