BAC Credomatic launches the first credit for business women Mujer Puedes +

Written by Evelyn Alas

BAC Credomatic considers it fundamental to make a positive contribution in the countries where it operates in the Central American region and firmly believes in the financial inclusion of women as one of the main paths towards their economic autonomy and business sustainability.

With its new triple positive value strategy, the bank not only becomes a catalyst for economic value, but also for environmental and social value, promoting inclusive banking, especially gender equitable, to meet the real needs of the country's leading women entrepreneurs.

In the framework of the "Day of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)" instituted by the United Nations (UN), celebrated every june 27, the bank launches the first credit exclusively for women entrepreneurs under the name "Mujer Puedes +", contributing to the revitalization of the Salvadoran economy, as a fundamental part of society.

This product seeks to empower women to develop their businesses with financing facilities, flexible guarantees and longer terms, making it the only product in the salvadoran financial system that seeks to support women with actions and tools that add value and simpler experiences.

"At BAC Credomatic, we reimagine banking to meet the needs of our clients and collaborators, providing them with programs and solutions of triple positive value. Proof of this is the launch of Mujer Puedes +, aimed at companies led by women, to strengthen their businesses, enhance their development and expand their market. This in order to continue generating prosperity and positive impact in the communities we serve, inspiring trust, acting in a transparent manner and making banking more inclusive", said Martha Bolaños, Corporate Marketing and Sustainability Manager of BAC Credomatic.

Last year alone, 1,311 businesswomen were trained, and from january to april almost 500 women have been trained, which translates into greater prosperity for SMEs.

BAC Credomatic seeks to be the first Net Positive bank in its operations in the six Central American countries. The entity has already started this process and has set a goal of 2025, in which it aspires to create more environmental, economic and social value than the footprint it generates in the region.

A Net Positive

Positive is one that not only reduces to zero its environmental and social impact on the community, but also implements a series of concrete actions that improve in the short, medium and long term, the quality of life of the people with whom it interacts (such as customers, employees and communities).

All these actions, in addition to concrete benefits for society as a whole, will be an additional driving factor for its operations and thus serve as an example for the rest of the market players, maximizing the economic value generated, making banking more transparent and being the leading bank in simple, digital and triple-value financial solutions.
