This launch brings with it a series of strategic alliances aimed at recycling and transformation of bottles in El Salvador.

AQUA ECO renews its image and brings an environmentally friendly message in its 750m presentation, offering consumers a bottle made with a 25% reduction of PET in its plastic.

To this end, the company has the support of Iberplastic, with which it expects to collect 180,000 plastic bottles that will be transformed into cleaning supplies that will be donated to public schools in San Salvador and Zaragoza.

This presentation not only shows a container made with less plastic, but also a plan with purpose, oriented to the care and protection of our environment. For this reason, an alliance will be made with the company Iberplastic, with which a bottle collection campaign will be launched from july 5 to august 18.

Salvadorans will be able to find 18 different collection points located in the main shopping centers such as Metrocentro and Multiplaza. They can also do it at bus stops in San Salvador such as Paseo General Escalon, Alameda Roosevelt, Alameda Manuel Enrique Araujo, Calle El Mirador, in front of El Salvador Hospital, Redondel Brasil and Carretera Panamericana in front of Gran Via.

The collected bottles will be transformed by Iberplastic into implements such as brooms, toilet brushes, ironing brushes and shovels, which will be used to make a cleaning kit that will be donated to public schools located in San Salvador, and Zaragoza.

"We have been working constantly to contribute to the planet. In 2021 we will not only reduce the use of 25% of PET material in AQUA ECO bottles, but we also want to make an echo in our country, and we will do it with our ally Iberplastic to collect and transform bottles, with which we will benefit several schools with cleaning products 100% recycled material. We want to invite our salvadoran consumers to join this campaign, because by doing so they will be contributing to the environment and the planet by giving plastic a second chance, while we are transforming them into useful products for the community", explained Carolina Machado, Regional Head of AQUA ECO.

In 2021, the brand has signed an alliance with the global organization Plastik Bank, with which it seeks to join efforts for the recovery of 25TM of plastic from the oceans each year, equivalent to 1.25 billion plastic bottles.

Plastic Bank is an organization that not only recovers millions of kilograms of ocean plastic, but also helps thousands of people to receive benefits for its collection, either in exchange for money, fresh food, drinking water, cell phone services, cooking oil or even school tuition for their children.
