MIDES to carry out deep cleaning of Ilopango Lake

The solid waste collection company, MIDES, started a deep cleaning day in Ilopango Lake, one of the most polluted water bodies in El Salvador.

With the objective of contributing to the rescue of the environment, the solid waste collection company, MIDES, has initiated a deep cleaning day in one of the most contaminated bodies of water in El Salvador: Ilopango Lake.

"This day we started our #LimpiezaProfunda en Apulo project in Apulo, Lake Ilopango, together with a team of divers. An activity dedicated to clean and preserve one of the most beautiful lakes in El Salvador and all its natural resources", said the company.

MIDES has planned together with the group of divers from Ilopango Divers the development of six days of underwater cleaning and cleaning on the shores of the lake.

A few days ago, the company contributed to the cleaning of Lake Coatepeque and its surroundings, where 40 tons of waste were removed and taken to the sanitary landfill for proper final treatment.

"As a company, we are proud to be part of this type of activities that contribute to the care of the environment and the development of these communities. A clean country is health!", adds MIDES, in relation to the motivation for these activities.
