Plan International El Salvador, an organization that has been promoting children's rights and equality for girls for more than 45 years in El Salvador, presented its new Country director, Dr. Anabell Amaya, in an event in which she showed her work platform for the next five years under the new strategy called:

Plan International presented its new campaign: “Rompamos la desigualdad”which is being carried out simultaneously in 8 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean (Brazil, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Peru) in order to make an urgent call to action so that girls and adolescents in the region have a better future, and have programs to protect them from harassment, violence, sexual abuse, early pregnancies and support them in connectivity and educational continuity.

ASESUISA/SURA shares the vision of contributing to improve the quality of life of salvadorans, therefore actively participates in the development of education, environment and art and culture, which are the three pillars on which they focus their contributions in Corporate Social Responsibility and that are oriented to the community, customers, suppliers and employees.

In the framework of this date and in response to the current needs of girls, this year we present the campaign: “Conectadas y Seguras”, the second edition of this effort that began in 2020 and today seeks to raise awareness and highlight the risks faced by girls when they are online, especially due to the large amount of erroneous content and misinformation.

The study conducted by the EMPLEA-T Project "young people with Fair and Secure Work" indicates that young people who neither work nor study (known as NINI) represent an important segment of the population. During the last five years on average, NINI youth have represented 26% of all youth (between the ages of 15 and 29).
