Guaranteeing efficient and safe road connectivity, boosting economic and productive development, as well as improving the mobility of salvadorans, stimulating private investment and increasing export potential are some of the benefits that the Central Government has proposed with the construction and expansion of the Panamerican Highway, Los Chorros section.

The Ministerio de Obras Públicas (MOP), is moving forward with the mega-project to widen the Panamerican Highway from Las Delicias, in Santa Tecla, to San Juan Opico and the construction of the Francisco Morazán viaduct, the modern overpass that will reduce costs and travel times to the west of the country.
