Deputies of Nuevas Ideas will present two bills that will benefit salvadorans living abroad, announced the president of the Legislative Assembly, Ernesto Castro.

The initiative intends to exonerate taxes on the entry of goods to compatriots who decide to return to settle in El Salvador to start a business, while the other seeks to facilitate the procedures for them to open bank accounts in the national territory.

Regarding the proposal for the compatriots to have access to a bank account, President Castro explained that it will be necessary to modify the regulations governing financial institutions.

"Those who want to bring their furniture, their car, and the things that are their property, to come to settle in our country will no longer be taxed. There will be a limit and it will be focused per family", said legislator Castro.

"We are going to reform these laws so that the bank can no longer put impediments and that the distant brothers who want to come to set up their companies and use their private accounts can do so without any problem", said the congressman. Castro mentioned that within the Cian bench the details of the proposals are being fine-tuned.
