MOP makes 90% progress in the construction of the Gerardo Barrios Peripheral, San Miguel

The Ministerio de Obras Públicas is making progress in the construction of the Gerardo Barrios Peripheral, in San Miguel, one of the most important projects for mobility and commercial logistics, which will bring great benefits to the residents of the eastern part of the country.

 

 

The minister of Public Works, Romeo Rodríguez, verified the paving of the accesses to the bridge over the Rio Grande of San Miguel and other complementary works to the peripheral of the eastern zone.

Today we came to see the progress of the Gerardo Barrios Peripheral, which is being built to speed up the travel times of the entire population heading towards La Unión. The idea is to avoid passing through the city of San Miguel, thus reducing the traffic that is normally generated in the Roosevelt.

He reported that this important mega project of the Government of President Bukele is already 90% complete; therefore, soon the migueleños will be able to enjoy this important work.

They will also be working on the slopes, the important thing is that very soon the migueleños will be able to enjoy this work. Between phase 2 and phase 4 of this peripheral road, we have already made approximately 90% progress on this project. At the latest, between this month and next month, the traffic will be enabled.

The Central Government continues with the modernization of the country's road network and generating the conditions to boost the salvadoran economy, by promoting commercial logistics and facilitating mobility.
