Legislative decree number 652, issued on january 25 of this year, approved the Public Procurement Law, which aims to establish the basic rules that will regulate the public procurement cycle.
This regulation contemplates the creation of the Dirección Nacional de Compras Públicas (DINAC) to be the governing body in public procurement at the national level, regulating the organization, administrative and financial operation.
"This institution is decentralized and has autonomy, which is why it is necessary to include the amount in the 2023 Budget Law", said director Salazar.
The resources to finance DINAC's budget have been identified by the Ministry of Finance, based on administrative efficiency in tax collection and the fight against tax evasion.
According to Salazar, the destination of these funds, requested for the period from may to december of this year, will be distributed in 51 remunerations (contracts for 116 positions), 54 acquisitions of goods and services, 55 financial expenses and acquisitions of assets.
