CEPA announces US$2 million investment for El Salvador International Airport

The Comisión Ejecutiva Portuaria Autónoma (CEPA), announced that the company AirSupport Group has made an important investment of more than US$2 million, implemented since the pandemic period, in the acquisition and updating of ground support equipment.

AirSupport Group is investing in state-of-the-art ground support equipment for Aeropuerto Internacional de El Salvador “San Óscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez".

The objective of this investment is to continue providing world-class services consistent with the country's airport strategies.

Currently, according to CEPA's President, Federico Anliker, it is the most modern and efficient air terminal in the region, with nationals, tourists, executives, and people coming to do business 365 days a year.

The official said that during the whole of last year more than 3.4 million passengers were attended, which implies an increase of 37% more than in 2021.

He said that the salvadoran passenger airport is the main gateway connecting the country with the entire world. It is currently the most modern and safest air terminal in the region; nationals, tourists and business executives enter and leave the country all year round.
