Written by Paty Salinas

Minister of Labor, Rolando Castro, announced the signing of employment contracts with 2,000 single mothers in the central zone of the country in different sectors.

This work program aimed at single mothers seeks to transform lives through dignified work, said the minister.

The Minister said that "80% of the companies that are working with us are micro and medium-sized companies". From the beginning, the Ministry conducted a diagnosis to know the reality of employment in the country and it was found that young people of 18 years of age were excluded by the companies because they did not have work experience.

Also, "another sector is people over 40 years of age, who are excluded by companies because of their age. Another sector is people with disabilities, the law is clear and we are enforcing it", said Castro.
