AVANZA promotes entrepreneurship contributing to the country's economic reactivation

The professional training center Avanza, is taking on new challenges in education with the aim of supporting students to establish themselves in more competitive labor markets and thus, decided to strengthen its curriculum by adding programs of study focused on digital issues, new technologies and solid strategies to support entrepreneurship and generation of new businesses.

Therefore, Avanza presents an institutional support that allows forging and supporting the generation of companies through training in their specializations, workshops and courses, which allow taking the necessary steps to the challenges of this new generation of young people and adults.

Avanza is facilitating through its training that 65% of its students can generate an enterprise or are developing their business idea to undertake soon and more than 50% of them are women.

There is no doubt that micro and small businesses represent an important and relevant part of El Salvador's economy and are one of the main sources of employment for many salvadorans. Therefore, it should be a priority to promote their growth.

Among the most requested specialties by this group of entrepreneurs are: business administration, administrative finance, strategic marketing, digital marketing, advertising graphic design, advertising photography, audiovisual production, restaurant management and Microsoft Excel workshop.

Abigail Figueroa, Avanza alumna and owner of the company Aby Sweet Cakes, mentions:

"My company has had a paradigm shift towards sustainable business practices and for this, I had to understand in which areas I had to strengthen my personal skills if I wanted to set up a business, Avanza has supported me in the conventional areas of my business, through the integration of a sustainable sales culture".

To date, the training institution has been able to increase the innovation, competitiveness and skills of more than 8,000 students through 20 study programs. At least 60% of Avanza's students succeed in placing a company in the market or opting for a job opportunity.

There are currently more than 2,000 active students.
