The congress seeks to educate, promote, and disseminate electric and sustainable mobility, in addition to the benefits, advantages and positive impact on society, less air pollution, better quality of life and a significant improvement in public health.
"El Salvador is in transition towards a Zero Emissions transportation model and the exhibitors and panelists will provide a broader perspective of investment opportunities in micro mobility, sustainable urban mobility, the current development and projections of the freight network in our country, as well as financial inclusion projects in areas of productivity.
The Congress is the perfect opportunity for local and regional actors leading the e-mobility sector to join voices and efforts to make the transition a reality. The MSME and large enterprise sector will be the great beneficiaries of this experience", explained Marco Tomasino, president of ASOMOVES.
Support at the regional level
The Electric Mobility Congress is supported by the Iniciativa Mipymes Verdes II, a tripartite effort of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), the Government of Germany, through KfW, and the European Union, which seeks to protect the climate and the environment by creating and offering appropriate, efficient and sustainable financial products for the sector with investments in renewable energy, energy efficiency and cleaner production.
"The transition to a sustainable transport model worldwide is a priority of the Global Gateway. The Global Gateway is the European Union's cooperation strategy with partner countries, which involves not only the EU, but also its Member States, private sector, and financial institutions, working as "Team Europe". To accelerate this transition, we support the development of transport electrification in El Salvador and throughout Central America”, emphasized Miguel Varela, Head of Cooperation of the European Union in El Salvador.
