José Cisneros covers his gray hair with a black hat, which protects him from the sun's incessant rays and the cement residue, which extends up to his shirt, due to the remodeling work he is doing in his house. A few meters from his home, technical crews from AES EEO are completing a new project that will bring quality electricity supply to his home and benefit the rest of his neighbors.

"We are very satisfied, you can see that the materials they have used and the work they have done are of quality. In the past the poles and cables were not adequate and now we see the improvement in everything", said José Cisneros, a beneficiary of the work.

With an investment of US$40 thousand, AES EEO - an AES El Salvador company - executed a project for the Normalization of Third Party Lines (NLT) to benefit 160 customers in the municipality of Santa Rosa de Lima, Department of La Unión, with a reliable, safe and continuous electric service.

AES explained that it replaced old, damaged and unsafe poles and cables that were installed by uncertified individuals with a modern electrical installation that complies with the technical standards of the Superintendencia General de Electricidad y Telecomunicaciones (SIGET).

"Before, the lines in this community were built with pipes and poles that over the years were damaged and represented a risk for the families. Now, we are bringing them up to standard with poles, transformers and conductor cables that are safer, more aesthetic and bring development to these families", said Luis Santos, Construction Supervisor of AES EEO.

The standardization project consisted of the installation of 45 poles, 3 distribution transformers and 1.5 linear kilometers of new electrical networks.

With this initiative, AES EEO accelerates the future of energy in the municipality of Santa Rosa de Lima through a reliable and safe electric service, with which its inhabitants will boost their economic and social development.
