5 signs that your finances are at risk

Written by Evelyn Alas

Managing personal finances requires planning, control and follow-up.

If you are good at planning and at the beginning of the year you set specific goals, but at the end of the year you don't meet them, you need more control and follow-up.

1. Having difficulties to meet fixed payments, such as rent, utilities and credit installments, among others, every month.

2. Being an impulsive buyer, that is to say, getting carried away by supposed promotions and end up buying in quantities that exceed your needs or even objects that you do not require.

3. Having a credit card that is always overdrawn or never being able to free up credit.

4. Not having savings for unforeseen situations, known as an emergency fund.

5. Not having access to traditional financing options, due to negative credit bureau reports or having no debt capacity.

If you are going through 3 or more of the above signs, your personal finances are in danger and you should change your financial habits urgently.
