Ministry of Labor seeks to employ people with disabilities through a job fair

The Ministry of Labor is holding today job placement days for people with disabilities in the 14 departmental offices throughout the country and have opened their doors from 7:00 a.m. and closing until 5:00 p.m.

In addition, Minister Rolando Castro, stated that there is an average of 20,000 jobs in which the objective is that the people attending the fair, can be placed in the various items made up by medium and large companies in the country.

He said that in the matter of labor insertion it is not an option to hire people with disabilities; it is a mandate of the Law, that is why he has delegated a team of inspectors who are verifying in the other sites.

He assured that the Ministry launched this program to incorporate people with disabilities into the labor market, and that they have the credentials to opt for a decent job, well paid and with all the benefits.

In addition to inserting these people into the labor market, the program seeks to collect data to expedite the so-called disability certifications to give them an opportunity.

The official stated that the companies that do not want to comply with the Law, will carry out the respective sanctioning process, we will do everything that the framework of the law allows us to do.

He also said that they were in a placement of people from this sector in San Juan Opico with a construction company and MIDES, also following up the hiring of these people.
